As I begin delving into the complex life of Leonardo Da Vinci, I will join others in saying what a perfect choice in casting Aidan Turner in this role. Both men come across as enigmas, with many layers to their characters, whose minds and interests are diverse. Clearly the term "renaissance man" fits both. Aidan is known for taking on a character fully so I imagine his personal interest in art will serve him well as he embodies Leonardo. I can't wait to see this latest transformation of his, having watched him evolve from inhuman characters to very human, imperfect ones. Add to that the personal aspect of Leonardo's life, I'm sure Aidan will once again create someone we will have a multitude of feelings for. Rest assured I will be watching the progress of this project over the next months in anticipation of its airing.
